Ozric Tentacles
Ozric Tentacles is the name of a British instrumental band, active since 1984 in the psychedelic rock with lots of electronic influences.
The historical formation was formed June 21, 1984 at Stonehenge Free Festival, during which it was coined the name, chosen from a shortlist of fanciful names for a hypothetical psychedelic brand of cereal for breakfast. Throughout the eighties have made an almost incalculable number of live performances, especially in the English music festival, during which they used to personally sell their self-produced tapes.
Their first record was officially released by record label Pungent Effulgent in 1989. Until then none of their work had not yet seen the official distribution. The next album, Erpland saw the birth of ERP, a fictional character after this in most covers of the group. Strangeitude album (1991) was included Sploosh the song!, used as the soundtrack for an advertising campaign of the famous German car brand BMW. Sploosh! is still the only single released by the group. Upon his release, the album Jurassic Shift of 1993 he entered the British Top Ten.
